You ever sit and wonder/like Fred/what life would’ve been like/maybe not cause your dead/or laying in bed/to sick to move/take this grove and let it be the mood/that sets your day/replay life in a good way/like why did I get this hand dealt/felt the pain/each and everyday/played the game/the right way/yet in still/it’s a tough pill to swallow/could I be here to see tomorrow/my man didn’t make it/or he dropped out/couldn’t save him/that’s the vicious cycle/so I wonder/cocked back with anger/but I don’t pull the rifle/sun shines even on a dogs ass/skipped class/pops ain’t show up/Mass disappointment/but as the saying goes/some things are better left unsaid/but in the end/ this is therapy for my heads/

Not to much time left/the road is wide open/but I can’t lie/I’m still looking back/door closed/lights off/stove cold/wind blows/the other way/take me away/landing on an island/the sadness is your not smiling/life moves so fast/give all I have/ponder about the purpose in this galaxy/a lot of travesties/some living high up/others in mud/the rest casually/strolling/did you learn from your mistakes/quake felt/you on the fault line/it’s not a tremor/foundation cracked/you need a lift/come see the kid/got stories like Lorraine Hansberry/some scary/ others sad/ more then a few/bundled with laughs/it’ll come to pass/this pain you feel/wail all you want/but it’s wasted minutes/rather be giving/what I can/provide some level of insight/ into the past/but bottle that up/and move fast/gotta run!

Suppose I live with regrets/but I’d be lying if I didn’t say I vent/get bent and all out of shape/about the place I use to be/those lost chances/scratch off so close/pose for the cam/holidays pics he wasn’t the man/withstand the test of time/still here/boots on the ground/profound feeling of love/I get from just a simple hug/you can bug me/often times/we need just need someone to lean on/Joe Clark/spark that light inside the head/young man/where you going/where you been/coming off the bench/gotta stench/he used to be real nice/with the pen/a poet/potential like Angelou/flew the nest/quiet as kept/he want it back too/nothing you can really do/blue but be happy/future laid out/so Aptly!
